Dr. Yaw Adu Gyamfi in HIDA-EPQM - JAPAN
Dr. Yaw Adu Gyamfi was invited by the Overseas Human Resource and Industry Development (HIDA) in Japan for the Executive program on Quality Management (HIDA-EPQM) from May 18th to 25th May 2016. The course was led by world-famous TQM guru Dr. Noriaki Kano. The course was focused on Designing Business Management/Administration techniques and their underlying ways of thinking. The training course targeted at top managers from Africa, Asia, Europe and North America who wished to make use of Total Quality Management (TQM) in order

to implement a management strategy that enhances customer satisfaction through increase in product quality and service improvement and achieve customer delight as well as achieves sustainable corporate growth. During the training session, they visited Toyota Motor Corporation and MEIDOH Company Ltd. in Nagoya for a case study

High Level Meeting on AIDS in New York

The CEO of Danpong Group of Companies – Dr. Yaw Adu Gyamfi was at the just ended High Level Meeting on AIDS, the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. In the meeting were the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana – Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, Michel Sidebe - Executive Director of UNAIDS and other dignitaries of the Republic of Ghana as well as from other countries.

Mexican Business delegation visit to Danadams
The First Mexican Business Mission organized in Ghana had a two member delegation coming to Danadams to familiarize themselves on how we do business as a company as well as the opportunities and facilities for investment in the following specific sectors: agriculture and agro-industry, food processing, meat trade and processing, fertilizers and chemical industry, pharmaceutical and construction in the country.

Members of the Export Promotion Council accompanied them..

His Excellency General A. A. Abubakar visits Danadams

Danadams Pharmaceutical Industry Limited had the opportunity of receiving the former President of the Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency General A. A. Abubakar, GCFR, CSG. It was wonderful having him around and touring our facility to familiarise himself with what we do.

Commissioner of Health Niger state-Nigeria, visits Danadams Pharmaceutical Industry Limited

Dr. Mustapha Jibril visited Danadams to familiarise themselves with our operations in Ghana and also begin discussions on supporting Danadams to start operating its new manufacturing plant in Minna-Nigeria.

The team toured the factory comprising on the warehouse, Quality Control/Assurance, Production, Blistering, Packaging, finished goods warehouse. They were impressed about our operations and edge management of Danadams replicate same in Nigeria.

Parliamentary Select Committee visits Danadams

The Parliamentary Select Committee on Health visited Danadams Pharmaceuticals to understand our operations and efforts to delivering quality health products in Ghana and West Africa. The committee toured the factory, inspected ongoing projects and were briefed on the and challenges facing the company.

The delegation was led by Hon. Wisdom Gidisu.

CEO speaks at UNAIDS Meeting

The CEO of Danadams Pharm. Indst. Limited Dr Yaw Adu Gyamfi was invited to speak at the just ended UNAIDS West and Central Africa Regional Directors Meeting

 

The august meeting was held in Dakar Senegal and was attended by Regional Directors of The UNAIDS for West and Central Africa.

 

CEO elected as 1st Vice President of GEA

The Ghana Employers' Association GEA elected new executives at its 52nd Annual General Meeting(AGM) held on the September 27, 2012

The AGM was held at the Accra International Conference Center and among the four elected executives is Dr. Yaw Adu Gyamfi, CEO of Danadams Pharmaceutical Industry Limited.

Congratulations to Dr Yaw Adu Gyamfi and all other elected executives.

Cleaning Up

A healthy environment helps to reduce the spread of diseases ‚€“ so in an effort to have a direct impact on the local community, the Danadams staff started cleaning up.

Together with the Tema Metropolitan Assembly on 17th¬ September, a group of over 50 employees joined our CEO as we cleared drains, removed rubble and picked up litter.

The company sponsored the event in the amount of GHC7000.

 
A Leader at Ghana Club 100

On 15th¬ September 2011, excited Danadams staff attended the Ghana Club 100 Awards held at the M√∂venpick Hotel in Accra, where the company was ranked number one Leader in the Manufacturing Sector.

In the overall rankings, Danadams Pharmaceuticals outperformed many other companies to retain its sixth overall position on the Club 100 List.

This prestigious ranking in the Ghana Club 100 results from the company‚€™s continued high consolidated growth, positive turnover and proven return on equity.¬ ¬ 

 
Japan TQM

Head of Maintenance and Engineering, Prince Yamoah, was invited by the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarships to complete a Total Quality Management course at the Tokyo Kenshu Center in Tokyo, Japan from 24th¬ August to 6th¬ September 2011.

The course, led by world-famous TQM guru Dr Noriaki Kano, focused on quality problem-solving using QC Story and its 7 QC Tools. While there, Yamoah also visited Nissan Motors‚€™ Yokohama Plant and Sunden Air Compressors for a case study.

Students came from as far afield as Thailand, Argentina, Nepal, Bangladesh and six other countries.¬ 

 
New Branding and Packaging

Working in conjunction with a US design team and pharmaceutical packaging experts, Danadams embarked on an ambitious project to redesign all its packaging.

Design elements include using more visual icons to indicate the type of drugs and dosages, as well as colour elements to help distinguish pharmaceutical aspects. Drug information is also displayed more clearly and legibly.

The new packaging will be introduced in 2012 once it has passed all regulatory requirements.

 
Investing in People‚€™s Skills

In September 2011, Danadams Pharmaceuticals combined forces with its newly launched group-affiliate Danaction Business Development Institute to start a continuous training programme for employees at all levels in the company.

The training initiative focuses on improving business and management skills, as well as good manufacturing practices. Employees use group discussions, job-related case studies and class sessions to learn practical lessons.

The company is also providing seminars on health-related issues such as HIV.
